Back to School!!

This week has been back to school. KyLeigh is a second grader, Shad is a Fifth Grader, and Dixon a jr, and Casy the Science Teacher, with his newly acquired masters.
KyLeigh is so excited, she could barely go to sleep on Tuesday night after back to school night. Her teacher Mrs.Worthington has a rat and a snake. That and snacks are her favorite so far.
SHad has Mrs.Keen, who is in our ward and he had her in primary. She is a great girl, played college basketball, and is a great teacher he is excited.
Dixon, needless to say was not excited to go back. Although I am pretty sure he is glad to be getting closer to moving out on his own!!
Summer has been fun, lots of mountain horse rides, practicing, competing, swimming, laughing, and lots of hauling hay!!!! The fresh air in the mountains does a body so good!!! I took a 3 year old up tonight for a big ride, she did awesome. We made it close to the top of the red cliffs, and you could see so many ridges and skylines. Nothing like that, to clear your thoughts.
Reminded me to step back and take a look at the good things in peoples lives. Sometimes its easy to become offended and mad. Needless to say I have much improvement to do in this area!!! I only want to be positive and really use the law of attraction. It works, if you think those positive thoughts and put your mind to use, as well as your hands good things will come of it.
Well here's to a great school year, Dixon did well in Delta last weekend, 3rd in the calf roping on Friday with a 9.5, and 7Th in the dogging with a 7.0 and 4Th in the team roping. Saturday i think we scored a few points in the calf roping, everything else went south!!!! We are headed to Randolph this weekend, for a one day waa-hoo.

  1. Congratulations on the Masters, Dad!!! I didn't even know you got it!

Hooray for back to school! It's good the kids like it so much. Dixon will miss school when it has been over for a few years.

Man, we never got to go on a mountain ride with you! We were waiting on Heather, and she never got back to us. :( If you get a spare Saturday (yeah right, I know how full your schedule is once school starts) let us know, and we'll come down.

    Good luck in Randolph!
